The Program in Jewish Studies and the Judaica Library Collection regularly host pop-up exhibitions at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Each exhibition has a unique theme and features examples from Yale’s stunning Judaica collection, including medieval manuscripts, rare printed books, ephemera, archival materials, sheet music, and other unique artifacts. A group of librarians, postdoctoral associates, and graduate students serve as guides to the items on display and engage visitors in conversation. These exhibitions are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to join and bring a friend or two along. Advance registration is recommended.
These exhibitions are typically co-sponsored by the Yale Chaplain’s Office; the Slifka Center for Jewish Life; Chabad at Yale; JoY (Jews of Yale), the Yale Jewish employee affinity group; and Kehillah, the Jewish Graduate and Professional Student Association.
