Emily Mazza

Emily Mazza is a PhD student in the History Department. After earning her BA at Smith College in History and Jewish Studies, she spent a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Lithuania and got her MA at Central European University. Before starting her PhD at Yale, she worked as a bibliography fellow at the Yiddish Book Center. Her research focuses on legal history and Jewish lawyers in the Russian Empire and the United States at the turn of the twentieth century.
